The Planned Development Concept Plan for The Derby District was presented to the Sun Prairie Plan Commission this week for initial concept review only. 

The application is for review of a Planned Development Concept Plan for a large-scale mixed-use development on approximately 136 acres located at One QBE Way. The site is generally bounded by Windsor Street (Hwy 19) to the south, Saint Albert the Great Drive to the north, and County Highway C to the west. The proposed development includes a combination of multi-family apartments, senior housing, with independent living, assisted living, and memory care options, retail (a Hilldale style walkable district), office, daycare, and other commercial uses.

The development team will now review the feedback provided by the Commission and staff, consider revisions and edits, and resubmit the updated concept for future Planning Commission review.

This review process will involve hundreds of meetings, lots of discussions, and many changes.
